Come on... podcasting is good for you.. really, trust me.

I have a lot to talk about this week so I will be making three posts... Mainly because I think it is too much information to put in one post and I want to make these posts a little more digestible. The first thing I wanted to comment about is my google homepage. Not the google homepage specifically, but the quote that was on my homepage today. The quote is:

Of course the game is rigged. Don't let that stop you--if you don't play, you can't win.
- Robert Heinlein

Do any of you ever feel that way? As if you are struggling for no darn reason because a winner has already been chosen. At times I feel like I am being toyed with but it doesn't stop me from forging ahead with my project. It also didn't stop me from meeting with Symfollies on Wed. of last week. If I am being toyed with at least I am learning and that will make me a better business woman.. I hope.

Last Wed., Johan Casselman and Steven Joris from Symfollies paid a visit to Munich to speak with me and with a television station. I think the television station may have been the primary focus of their trip to Munich but it was nice to chat with the CEO of symfollies and have him reaffirm that my company idea is solid.

We spent an hour chatting about direct sales and how the tupperware model works really well in Belgium for a toy building blocks company (owned by a friend of Mr. Casselman) The toy company sells more blocks through it's direct reps than through the stores and is the backbone of the company sales. Mr. Casselman is interested in using direct sales for his distribution because he wants to make symfollies a lasting brand like the Smurfs or Didl.

During our discussion, I asked Mr. Casselman what he wanted from my company and today I sent a letter giving him a couple of options. Hopefully he will chose the one I want but if he chooses either one, I will be happy. What were the choices? Well, I will let you know when I get an answer from Mr. Casselman.

I tried to persuade Mr. Casselman that he should put a sample of his product on the internet but he is a little wary. They spent quite a bit of private funding to create their product and unlike Hocus and Lotus, they did not receive any money from the EU. Mr. Cassleman, wanting to make sure they recoup their investment, is afraid to give away a bit of their product because they only have a limited amount...... I tried explaining what Florian Dargel commented on earlier but I think he will need to be convinced... We have plenty of time. I am working on a podcast for Hocus and Lotus to put on Itunes and if that works, then I have solid proof to show him it works.

I will also try posting the podcast on my blog... I think that is possible. If not, I will give you a link to view the podcast. What I am going to do is put the intro music for Hocus and lotus and a few cartoon coloring pages and the cover page for the Audio CD and the workbook. I will go into more detail when I post the podcast.

See, this is why I need three posts... Tomorrow I will post about my Friday meeting with another Right brained business person and then I will post about the Japanese company who wants help and meeting Dan, the Business channel developer. Lots to talk about... Lots to write about...
