How many bytes does it take?
I don't remember if I wrote about my favorite commercial so this might be repetitive but like old friends, you will forgive and I will try not to do it again..anyways, my favorite commercial is about a lollipop. A little boy asks the owl, who is wise, how many licks to get to the center of a lollipop. The owl takes three licks and then crunches into the lollipop and says, it takes three licks to get to the center.
I love that commercial. It shows that there are several ways to get to your goal, you can be patient and lick your way to the center or you can think a little different and get to your goal in a much faster way... CRUNCH.... Both are fine but I like taking bytes.
KB MB GB... I wasn't sure which order they went so I looked it up... I am currently using Gigabytes.. lots of data and I like that.. let people download what I am writing.. I want them to want to listen and the more that download, the more that are listening..and hopefully they will want to read what they have heard.
I did a little experiment in December. I podcasted for two weeks straight and did well on the podcast rankings. Then I took off two weeks for Christmas and my ranking plummeted. Interesting... so the rankings on iTunes has to do with how many downloads you have daily. This helps in planning for the coming year, I will have to do a podcast daily to keep the ranking high and keep visibility. So Monday we begin podcasting again and will be podcasting daily.
The total download for December was 6.77gb Which is not too bad. I am hoping to increase that this month. We are already at 1.5 gb after this week, a week where I did not do any new podcasting.
The articles this week will be 1. Starting a company in Germany/EU. 2. First week of Creativity course 3. Four styles of communication and how to use that information to improve your relationships 4. French website to download free music 5. Cleaning an expat closet.
Hurray, we are back to broadcasting and lets see if we can increase our rankings again... I will be curious to see if we are able to climb back up just by having a daily download.
