Rewriting History on Wikipedia

A common saying is that history is written by the winners of any war but what war are we waging in cyberspace. Wikiscanner, a website designed by Virgil Griffith,¨digs through the data on Wikipedia and finds out who is actually making the corrections to data entries.

This is nothing new. We write history the way we want to see it not the way that it actually occurred...we have been seeing history rewritten before our eyes by the US government in the way they discuss the wars in the middle east and their relationships with various countries.

History is fiction based on fact. The facts are the most difficult things to ascertain.
