M-Net replace our T-Com Internet Connection
I know, big deal but really, it is. On Friday I got a box in the mail full of hardware that my roommate said I could install or have a guy install. Loving technology and not having a boyfriend who is a technology expert, I decided to try installing the hardware and connecting my computer to the internet. This process took a total of thirty minutes including the time that it took to dismantle the old T-Com boxes (All four of them). The new system uses one box. This really has to be one of the easiest things I have done in awhile. It is even easier than dealing with the Zen Vision:M. At least m-net works with software that is on My Apple computer.
The exciting thing for me is that I did it myself without having to call customer service at Apple or M-net. Now, that either means that I am getting better with technology or both of these products are easy to use.
The next step is to reset the wireless connection. I have not hooked that up to the computer yet or to M-net's box. I am leaving that experiment for tomorrow. I wanted to podcast the eleventh chapter of Chasing the wind and blog at least about this successful installation before tampering with my internet access and losing valuable online time. I am tempted to leave everything the way it is but what is the fun in that?
I belong to xing, which is an online networking group. Today I got an interesting message from a company in Berlin looking for a distributor for wine in Munich. Technology = Wine. I thought that it would make for an interesting business model. Asking around, a friend gave me the name of a wine distributor here in Munich who might be interested, proving that is it always good to ask for what you want.
