A change of Scene

My adviser at Price Waterhouse has tracked me down. I moved to Munich to teach a class at the European Univeristy http://www.euruni.edu/ Where I am teaching an EU law class to business students.

I have been hopping around town, staying in temporary apartments but it is the first apartment which is the most important. Munich is a fairly large city and has a lot of industry to the north of the city. My first apartment was in a small town called Neufahrn which is where Avon, www.avon.de, has their headquarters. Driving by this large plant everyday for a few months helped me figure out how to market my software. I am going to use viral marketing to sell my product to women and I am going to sell it like Avon, tupperware, Pampered chef and all that other stuff people sell to women in a party format.

Women in the United States purchase fifty percent of the products. period. Here in Europe the numbers are lower but still the fastest growing market for computers and software in Germany is women over 50. WOMEN OVER 50. That is not the teenage boy that most companies are targeting. So how am I going to reach this fifty year old woman. How am I going to get her to look at my software... If I am going to sell my software like Avon, then I am going to need more than just my software I am going to need a line of software for women... If I am going to have a line of software for Women and I am going to sell it like Avon, then I am no longer a software company, I am a publishing and distribution company. My business plan has morphed once again.
