How to Make A Creative Productive
I am a creative and I know I don't like to be in a box. I usually work at a table or on the couch our wherever my internet connection will reach. Knowing what it is like to be creative and having worked in sterile environments, I decided to dedicate todays creativity article to this topic. How do you foster creativity at work and home?
I am going to be making personal comments about my article on the magazine's blog This site will eventually move to www.sofiamagazine.com but I have to finish building the website first... maybe next week when I am off from my day job.
I decided that it will be better if I blog about the magazine articles in a separate blog and keep this blog dedicated to the development of my business. The magazine blog will be part of the website for the magazine to give it a bit of depth.
Moving the magazine to kids and family has not hurt the podcast.. so now we have a podcast title in religion, spirituality and Kids and family.... I thought about putting one in education but I would rather wait until we can split the categories into their own podcasts...
I have been busy creating content for the podcasts and website but that doesn't mean that I stopped pondering about my business and how to make it grow. One puzzle I have is how I am going to find out the stats for the podcast downloads (itunes does not share stats), Google sent me a newsletter reminding me that I am part of the adsense program... I forgot. yes, there are little ads on this site but I am not allowed to touch them and I forgot that Google is making money off my blog. well, today I went and looked at the analysis of my blog for the last six months and was surprised at who reads my blog. I don't know your names of course but you are all on the east coast of the US and central Europe.. with a few people in Asia taking a peek. One of the interesting features is that Google will let me know which topic you like the best... I am going to go back and look at it again to see if I should be focusing on any particular idea or topic for the magazine...
So I put the analysis script on my podcast website and we will see what the stats say. I am hoping they tell me alot. A whole lot. I love seeing the little bars on itunes go to the right but if I want advertisers in the future, I need to have something to show them...numbers, stats... concrete figures that business people want. For me, the little itunes bar is enough.. but I will not be able to use that to convince someone that I have a group of people listening and subscribing. Google is going to give me this information. Thanks Google.....
