They are having consumers pay for the charity laptop. Just awesome. We signed up and will be giving my five year old a laptop and donating a laptop to some child in a foreign country.

It would be really cool if my daughter could have the name of the person who got the laptop and if they could email each other. I know my daughter would really enjoy the process and it would be a great learning tool for her.

I am just excited that the laptop is coming on the market. I have been a big supporter of this idea and know that the computer will sell like crazy at Christmas.

NOW. Who makes software for linux? I need to start lining up programs for my daughters new computer! Online sites would be good too... so that she doesn't have to clog up her computer with programs.

At the present time, my daughter likes Neopets but I get tired of having to go in and feed her pets and play the games.. I would like to have something a little more educational.

I found that my younger daughter loves Adobe photoshop and the cartoon software we tested earlier this year. My older daughter loves creating webpages and using photoshop. So Art type programs will sell big in my family.
