Day 5 Zen Vision:M Test oh wait, It's stuck.

Fridays are always a wonderful day and it was a beautiful day in Munich. Sunny. Warm. and just beautiful. I was looking forward to testing the Zen:M today but we had a slight glitch. I have all kinds of photos downloaded on the Zen Vision:M and I wanted to go through and look at them. The Zen software downloaded all jpgs off my old computer which means that I have stored on the Zen all kinds of graphics for websites and other odd visual images.

Sitting down in a cafe to enjoy a cup of coffee and some data deletion, I turned on the Zen:M and scrolled down to the pictures bar. There were all these folders in the pictures (I have no labels on the folders yet) so I started opening the folders. In the third file, I am looking at a selection of images that include my younger daughter, a graphic for a web buttons and a photo of my daughter's doll. As I stare at this odd selection, the Zen freezes. I have done nothing. All I am doing is looking at these images wondering why they are in the same file. After hitting all the buttons on the top of the Zen, and trying to turn it off, I realize it is FROZEN. OK, I have to reset it. I know there is a reset button for the Zen but how in the world are you supposed to reset it. The hole is microscopic. I know you want to make it small so that I don't accidently reset it but what am I supposed to use to reset it while sitting in a cafe. I am not mcgyver, I don't carry a leatherman with me. I am a women so I take out my nail file. Nope. It does not fit. I try a pen. Nope. I try the pen from my phone. Nope.

I am staring at the Zen wondering why it won't let me look at my photos.. is it mad that I did not make proper files, that I am not organized with my memories. I am trying. My new computer has labeled files and galleries. Please unfreeze yourself! Not having the magic pointy thing to unlock my Zen Vision:M, I threw it in my purse and watched the odd people in the cafe. there is always someone odd to look at. Always.

Oh, the Zen Vision:M also turns off the visual screen when you lock it. Before it froze today, I played with the locking mechanism and it goes black when locked so if I want to see what band is playing, you have to unlock the Zen, look, and then lock it again.. why are you doing that? Why are you making me work. I want to see what is playing because I am not a music expert and sometimes I forget who is playing.. in fact sometimes I forget common English words. It could be my age or living in Germany or my genetic code but I have a hard time associating the names of groups with their music so let me see who is playing!

Later, when I get back from watching the German indoor baseball tournament in Gauting, I will tell you about the movie "Meet the Hendersons" We went to the screening yesterday. the review has to wait until later because I have to complain and that always takes time and lots of words.
