Redesign of Website

I finally put together a simple website for the magazine. What prompted me to do it? Did I have an extra day floating around in the week? Was I bored? No. I was busy working on other things when I got an email from my web hosting service saying that their servers had been hacked and that I needed to reload my website. I was told that it is wrong to have a link that leads to nowhere and I wanted to change my website to the magazine format so I took this opportunity to change the design.

I love my corporate logo designed by Gideon and he is in charge of the corporate image but I wanted something different for the magazine.

Now that I have the magazine categories, I will be uploading the podcasts to this website and to the test website. What I am not looking forward to is submitting the new website to all of the directories. I know I will have to do it, I am just not looking forward to spending my evening that way. I also have to add the website to feedburner so that I can track visits and subscriptions.

Sofia is registered for the Book Messe in Frankfurt this fall and I am once again in the children's section. I debated moving to a more general section but I like the people I met last year and I will be developing a series of children's products to promote learning English. this is a product that I will be testing in video podcasts... the product is based on a character I designed (she is above) and I will be making books and short videos using this character.

I just got an interesting program called Boinx iStopMotion which allows you to make animations. I will be using this software to make the animated part of my book series which will be downloadable on itunes. Should be interesting... I have to figure out how to make my character out of clay or some other material which I can then move around. I also have to design a few friends for the character..... I already know her family will just be bigger versions of this character. The first story will be Louisa's park and this character will be acting out the story... I will be writing the script this weekend to figure out the timing... The character will always be acting out a story..... so she will be dressing up and doing a play.

Anyways... I have six months to complete the products... I have two stories completed, I will want to have 10 to 12 before the fair. Always something to do when you are an expat entrepreneur.
