Day 8 Zen Vision: M Test - Get the Name Right...oops
Yes, I am a writer and I was not writing out the full name of the Zen Vision:M in my blog notes... I am writing these notes for a podcast article about the zen and I didn't really think about all those people who might be searching the web for information about the player. After being kindly informed of the missing word, I have now inserted it into the titles and on brief scan, most places in my blog notes.
Today I did not do a movie test.. I couldnt get it on the player because I have no clue how to change the format... THAT is not the fault of the player.... at least I know the movie function works b/c my home movie is on there.....I will have to try again tomorrow... maybe download a movie but I have never done that before, so that will be an exciting adventure.
While I was reviewing my test notes, I realized I did not tell you about the new Disney movie. Overall I liked "Meet the Robinsons" or "Triff Die Robinsons" but it scared the living daylights out of my five year old daughter. Unlike most German children, my daughter is used to watching movies and has a high tolerance for scarey creatures like dragons and monsters but she was freaked out by the hats that took over mankind. Even I was a little unsettled that they had this scene in the movie... what was the purpose? This movie is for children and it reminded me of something out of DUNE or Star Wars. Hats that took over the minds of people. Amazingly, my daughter understood that concept and would not wear her hat home. Other than this scarey scene, we enjoyed the movie and there were no nightmares. I just wish that the movie industry would get away from trying to hit each and every one of my emotions during a film and I was so glad that I was not with my German friends.. they would have once again left the movie theatre in disgust (Over the Hedge and the scarey bear did it last time)
Let me tell you how much I love Skype. I love Skype more than my new pumps but less than my new Apple MacBook Pro.. Very few things are better than that Laptop. Now Skype has a Beta where you can get a landline number for 50 Euros a year AND get a voicemailbox for the number. I like that. I want that. I use Skype as my regular phone and really dislike using a landline so having a landline number on Skype is super.
Last night I woke up and was wide awake at 200am. Not a good time to be awake so I decided to surf podcasts. I had fun watching National Geographic's Dog Whisperer. What a great show. Makes me want to have a satellite dish to watch it... or.. download the full show.
Watching it made me laugh and I thought it would be good management videos for companies. The same techniques could be used to make sure that your employees know the pecking order. Of course you can't bite or push down your co workers or employees but you certainly can use psychology to make sure they know who is the boss. Training the boss seems to be the most important part of the process.. we spend so much time training employees and forget that bosses also need to be trained how to be the boss...submissive bosses cause havoc because we all need leaders.
