Day 10 Zen Vision:M Test Where do I buy it?

This was my question of the day. Where do I buy it? Today two people asked me where they could buy one and I couldn't tell them. I have no idea where to buy one in Munich. I have to find out this information. My podcast will be downloaded by people around the world who probably don't care about how to buy the Zen Vision:M in Munich, Germany. they will want to know how to buy the player in their own home towns. Having this information did not seem important to me this morning but I guess it is important and I will have to figure out where they sell this device in Munich.
I know. Tell them to buy it online but I like to give people options so I need to be able to find a place here in town that sells the Zen. With this mission in mind, I will go downtown and take a peek at the tech stores and see where they hide the Creative products.
Yesterday, I was talking with a lawyer who used to work for BenQ (sold by Siemens right before it went bankrupt) the lawyer was telling me about BenQ's negotiations with a company that managed mp3 patents/intellectual property. It was interesting to hear how they negotiated the issue and the results. I am not sure if it is the same company that won the lawsuit against Microsoft but we chatted about the Alcatel-Lucent vs. Microsoft Judgment in the US and what ramifications it will have on the music industry, technology and mobile phones. That was fun.
Lawyers like to wonder about things like that and I also like wondering about technology so combined that makes me a pretty big geek.
Today, I wondered if MP3 will fade away like BETA. A quality product that just was not as popular as the alternative VHS. MP3 has several alternatives and the most popular right now, because of iTunes, is the AAC format/mpeg-4AAC. If the largest music store online uses AAC and Apple Licenses the technology to other hardware companies and to music companies, will we see MP3 fade away like records, tapes and videos?
Have you heard of NetVibes? Florian talked about it yesterday and I took a peek today. Fun. If I get a PC again, I will have to use it.
